Cat people are smarter than dog people
We love to divide the world into two clean columns. Everything has to be black or white, healthy or deadly, etc. There are introverts and extroverts. There are those who love Renaults and Citroens. But we all know that most of the time, the world is more complex than this, and it’s better to rethink things from more than one perspective, to see the reality of what it really is.
Cat owners score higher on intelligence than dog lovers. The researchers surveyed 600 students, asking them questions about their personality, and also whether they would identify themselves as dog lovers or cat lovers. Moreover, a previous 2010 study claims that cat owners are also more educated than dog owners.
Luckily, there are some findings that show the strengths of dog owners like this one. In the study Dog people were described as being more energetic, outgoing, lively, and follow the rules more closely. Moreover, dog people value the companionship of their pet, while cat owners like the affection.
All this makes sense, people who are better educated tend to work more and they can’t afford to take a walk with the dog as much as it needs. Cat suits better people who value peace and quiet, who rather choose the evening at home than a crazy night with friends.
